    Code of Conduct

    in engageThe CRIT Awards is committed to fostering a positive and inclusive environment that celebrates creativity and recognizes outstanding achievements in all aspects of the TTRPG industry.

    To ensure a safe and respectful experience for all participants, we have established this Code of Conduct, which outlines the standards of behavior expected from all nominees, attendees, organizers, and partners involved in the CRIT Awards.

     

    1. Inclusivity and Respect

    1.1. No Racism: We do not tolerate any form of racism, racial discrimination, or xenophobia. Treat all individuals with respect and fairness, regardless of their race, ethnicity, or cultural background.

    1.2. No Homophobia: We embrace diversity and do not condone any homophobic behavior or discrimination against individuals based on their sexual orientation or gender identity.

    1.3. No Ableism: We are committed to being accessible and accommodating to all individuals. Avoid ableist attitudes or behaviors and strive to make the CRIT Awards inclusive for people of all abilities.

    1.4. No Sexism: Gender-based discrimination, stereotypes, or harassment will not be tolerated. We promote gender equality and a supportive environment for all genders.

    1.5. Individuals who identify as Zionists, promote Zionist material, or engage in activities that without a doubt support Zionism are not eligible for nomination.

     

    2. Harassment-Free Environment

    2.1. No Harassment: Harassment in any form, including but not limited to verbal, written, visual, or physical harassment, is strictly prohibited. This includes offensive comments, unwelcome advances, bullying, and other disrespectful behavior.

    2.2. No Cyberbullying: Harassment via online platforms or social media related to the CRIT Awards will also be taken seriously, and appropriate actions will be taken to address such behavior.

     

    3. Morality Clause

    3.1. Social Responsibility: Participants of the CRIT Awards are encouraged to consider the social implications of their actions and strive to make positive contributions to society through their work and behavior.

     

    3.2. Community Engagement: Engage with and support local communities, initiatives, and organizations that promote social welfare, diversity, and inclusion. Encourage collaboration and cooperation to address social issues and promote positive change.

     

    3.3. Diversity and Inclusion: Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within the CRIT Awards community and beyond, fostering an environment where individuals of all backgrounds feel valued, respected, and empowered to contribute.

     

    4. Review and Removal of Nominees

    4.1. Evidence of Acts: The CRIT Awards reserves the right to review nominees and their eligibility for consideration if credible evidence of racism, homophobia, ableism, sexism, or harassment is brought to our attention.

    4.2. Thorough Investigation: Any evidence presented will be thoroughly investigated to ensure fairness and accuracy in the decision-making process.

    4.3. Removal from Consideration: If sufficient evidence is found to substantiate any of the aforementioned acts, the nominee in question may be removed from consideration for an award.

    4.4. Transparency: The decision to review or remove a nominee will be communicated transparently to all relevant parties while respecting the privacy of those involved.

     

    5. Reporting Incidents

    5.1. Reporting Process: If you experience or witness any behavior that violates this Code of Conduct during the CRIT Awards process or event, we encourage you to report it promptly.

    5.2. Confidentiality: All reports will be treated with confidentiality to the extent possible while ensuring appropriate actions are taken.

    6. Enforcement

    6.1. Consequences: Violation of this Code of Conduct may result in appropriate measures, including but not limited to warnings, expulsion from the event, and legal actions, if applicable.

    6.2. Organizers' Discretion: The organizers hold the final discretion in determining the appropriate course of action based on the severity and context of each incident.

    By participating in the CRIT Awards process or event, you acknowledge and agree to abide by this Code of Conduct.

    How does the CRIT Awards feel about AI?


    The CRIT Awards does not support the use of generative AI in any capacity. Nominations utilizing AI-generated art or writing will not be eligible for consideration.
